PLHS Tablet

In 2026, the Philippine Louisiana Historical Society, Inc.  (PLHS) has created a new commemorative tablet that will be installed at both the Manila Village Marker (Jean Lafitte, LA) and the St. Malo Marker (St. Bernard, LA). This tablet is 18 x 24 inches in dimension and bears the names of all officers and directors as of June 2025. 

The tablet was be unveiled during the celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day last June 13, 2026 held at the Manila Village Marker in Jean Lafitte. 

The individuals listed on the commemorative tablet represent the core leadership of PLHS, who will be responsible for initiating and implementing the policies and projects of PLHS across the state. These initiatives include, but are not limited to:

1. Annual Independence Day Celebration (June)

2. Annual Fiesta Filipina (October), which coincides with Filipino Heritage Month
